To Our Dear Community at First United,
Yesterday morning, Megan and I were overwhelmed by your love and support as we parted ways in worship. We felt so loved and cared for—I can’t think of a better faith community to have been a part of during our time in Bloomington.
I meant what I said: this community has a strong mission, outstanding leadership, and a deep commitment to great music. As you consider our role within the community as we navigate the challenges of today, it is my sincere hope that you will turn to music as often as possible. Music changes people. Remember that your proximity to the Jacobs School is a gift and that our space at First United is a desirable place for music to happen. I have been honored to be a part of a great legacy of music making at First United, and it is my sincere hope that you will continue to prioritize it.
Speaking of music, we are so overjoyed by the stunning baritone wind chimes. They have such a rich sound that will make our new backyard sing. Your gifts and notes of well wishes brought us great joy as we pack up our time here and move back to Minnesota. It is bittersweet. We have made lifelong friendships here that we will treasure forever. Thank you for being a part of our life and our story. You are most certainly part of ours.
Do feel free to keep in touch. Peace be with you!
