What a great Sunday Communion day we had yesterday! For those unable to join us, the whole service was inspiring and it propelled me into the week. Pastor Jessica talked about living as followers of Jesus, not just at church or when convenient, but everyday, as we meet hurt or hungry people or in any situation where there is not justice. I felt moved to do better in my life and work.
I’m also looking forward to our Congregational Potluck this coming Saturday, August 13. The Council and all members of the boards are meeting in retreat for the afternoon, and then our entire faith family (and your friends please!) are invited to the potluck. Arrive at 4:30 to prep and bring your dishes (labeled please!) and we’ll dine together at 5 pm.
Finally, you may have missed in the August First News my request to get feedback and input. In my article, I urged you all to complete a short survey. No matter how you feel about Sunday services, the outreach programs, our beautiful building and its use, or any number of thingsā¦ I want to hear from you. Please complete this short anonymous survey at your earliest convenience: https://forms.gle/zHnV3W8hMnAsxPbq5. For questions or if you need help, email me at rekeith@iu.edu.
