We support one another in community.
We value inter-generational fellowship and gather each Sunday after worship for Coffee Hour–members of the congregation and guests gather in Fellowship Hall for coffee and refreshments. Please join us to catch up with old friends, meet new people of all ages, and enjoy some tasty snacks.
There are many other ways to engage with the community at First United Church. Some activities are ongoing; others are organized for special occasions. Some of our regular fellowship opportunities include:
- Monthly potluck lunches after Sunday service, typically on the third Sunday of each month.
- Play Friday, an inter-generational monthly game night, hosted by First United Church. This free event repeats on the 2nd Friday of each month from 5:30-8 p.m. in Fellowship Hall at First United Church. Each evening features a shared meal, various craft/game activities (Euchre!), and time to simply get to know each other. Play Friday is a non-denominational event, fun for all ages, and open to the community.
- Seasonal activities, such as our September kettle soup lunch, and Summer Series, a meeting during each summer month focused on adult education and fellowship.
- Events that help us celebrate the church year, such as weekday Advent, Lenten, and Christmas services; our annual Easter Egg Hunt; and the Hanging of the Greens, where we gather to decorate the sanctuary for the Christmas season and then celebrate with a meal
