Choir Rehearsal

With the rise of the COVID delta variant, We ask that you please remain flexible in this ever evolving (mutating?) situation. For now, please plan on the following:

• Vaccines: These will be mandatory to participate in music ensembles. No exceptions. Indiana’s state law regulating vaccine passports is only applicable to state institutions. Please plan to bring your proof of vaccination to your first rehearsal. We will not make copies or hold your records. We understand this may limit participation in the choir because of this decision. It’s not one we take lightly. Singing is too high-risk of an activity to place you, your families, and our staff in danger.
• Rehearsal Space: We will rehearse in the sanctuary until further notice. We will have clip-on folder lights available for dim spots in the sanctuary.
• Masks: With the rise of the delta variant and breakthrough cases, the current plan will include singing in masks. This will change periodically based on daily infection rates in the county. We will also reassess based on practices at the Jacobs School of Music as a model.
• Distancing: For now, no special measures will be in place for excess distancing. Again, we will reassess based on recommendations at Jacobs.
