FREE OPERA AT FIRST UNITED–MOZART’S THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO will be performed here?in Italian with English subtitles at 7:30 pm Friday and Saturday, July 22 and 23,?and 2:30 pm Sunday, July 24.? CURIOUS? If you have been curious about the Sacred Conversation on Race group at church, now is a great time to stop by and see if it’s for you.? Given the desperate need for people of all colors to work against racism, the Conversation is committed to being a safe place to talk, learn, and plan next steps. ?We will meet next on Sunday, July 24th at 9:30 am in Room 6, and we hope you will join us!?
BUILDING AND GROUNDS NEWS. ?The digging on the 3rd Street side of our church’s grounds is in conjunction with the lighting? installation and entrance improvements underwritten by Hassel DePree’s gift to our church. ?In July, our sanctuary will become a construction zone as the sound booth console cabinet is installed. ?Nancy Hiller will build the cabinet.?
UPDATE: we are awaiting late August, early September install on our solar panels. ?The install will take about 3 weeks.?
THE TUESDAY MORNING ADULT DISCUSSION GROUP will continue through the summer. Anyone wishing to stop by and check it out is welcome. The class meets from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30a.m.?

MINISTER OF CARE FOR THE WEEK OF JULY24 IS JEAN PETERS.? A minister of care is a church volunteer who visits members in their homes.
