BELL CHOIR.? The Bell choir will be on hiatus through June and July. Rehearsals will resume in August.?

SAVE THE DATES: The Board of Christian Education has been working on some intergenerational activity afternoons as an alternative to a traditional VBS experience. More information will be coming, but please save the following Sunday afternoons for fun and fellowship: June 11 we will have a potluck lunch followed by activities, July 9 we will have afternoon activities followed by a communal dinner meal, and August 6th will be a fun end of summer game day. More specific times and activity details will follow in the next couple of weeks. CHURCH YARD WORK. ?Laura Kao?of the Board of?Building and Grounds will be putting in?an hour of?yard work on Thursday mornings at 8:30 whenever she is in town this growing season. ?She invites you to join her any?Thursday. ?If you let her know by e-mail that?you are interested, she’d know to tell?you when she won’t be there. ?

MOWER SUBS NEEDED: ?Are you willing to use the church’s riding mower at least once this growing season? ?We need a stable of willing?substitute mowers to help when Chelsea Schoch is rained out on a Thursday. ?No one has signed up yet on the sheet by the kitchen. ?Could you? ?Also, we need people who would weed whack any time.? Play Friday:? Play Friday is coming up this week on June 9! Join us for a Welcome to Summer celebration as we move the games outside! Ladderball, frisbee, water balloon play and more! The usual pizza dinner and drinks will be served. Play Friday is a recurring event on the second Friday of each month from 6:00-8:00 p.m. This is a family friendly event open to all ages. Just Friday: Just Friday is a recurring adult justice related discussion group on 4th Fridays from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in Roger Williams Hall. From May-August our justice discussions will be focused on climate change.

Each month will focus on different aspects of climate change and how the things we do contribute to the problem. Discussion will revolve around how we can change and create change in the world to positively impact this issue. Dates for these discussions are: May 26 (Climate Change and Transportation choices), June 23 (Climate Change and What We Eat), July 28 (Climate Change and Our Daily Habits), and August 25 (Climate Change and the Stuff We Own).
