CALLING ANY and ALL DRIVERS.? The Outreach Board has been capably served by the talents of Phyllis Eads in driving our church?s food grocery donations over to Monroe County United Ministries each month.? A huge thank you to Phyllis for donating her time and vehicle to do this.? We need to identify one or several folks who are able to take this fairly easy duty on after the first Sunday of the month.? It involves loading up the prior month?s donations into your own vehicle and driving them over to MCUM at 827 W 14th Ct, Bloomington.? If you can volunteer, ideally a couple of people taking turns, please contact Outreach chair, Sam Troxal at:? stroxal@yahoo.com or speak to him after church.?
USHERS NEEDED FOR AUGUST. We need several people to serve as ushers for the month of August. Ushers perform a very important role for our Sunday Church services in greeting our members and guests and answering their questions.
You do not need to be a member of the Church to serve as an usher. All you will need to do is to arrive early for Church service (about 10:20 AM).
To volunteer to serve as an usher, you can to do so by signing up on the August usher list, which is next to the kitchen door near the Fellowship Hall, or see Don Shelton, who is serving as usher captain for the month of August. Please consider volunteering for this very important service for the church.

Here are some things I want to draw your attention to:
- The Church Council is considering a suggestion to change the time of the Sunday worship service.? Your input is important.? Please let me or Siri Loescher, Chair of the Board of Worship, know thoughts on the matter.
- Please remember that the church is operating on a deficit budget this year for the first time in memory.? Regular giving tends to slow down during the summer months.? If you can help by giving a bit more to support the work of the church, I encourage you to do so.

Do you love having fun?? Are you generally in church on Sundays?? Well, the Board of Christian Education would love to invite you to have fun in church during the next? Summer Series event!? In August, we will take advantage of the cooler afternoon temperatures and meet from 3-6, which will include dinner.? We hope to see you!? Treats are provided by the Board of Worship and Kitchen Committee, but special goodies, especially in celebration of a noteworthy occasion, are always appreciated but never an obligation. DISCIPLE is a program of disciplined Bible study aimed at developing bold Christian leaders. DISCIPLE draws on the work of scholars, personal Bible reading and study, and dynamic group discussion to aid in understanding the Bible and how it relates to live out your values. DISCIPLE will begin in September for 34 weeks with breaks and complete in May.
